A Partnership Approach to Ownership

R. Sutton Fannon brings over two decades of investment, transaction, and board-level experience across multiple industries. As Founder and Managing Partner of GlenRock Strategic Partners, he partners with founders and management teams across business services, industrial and infrastructure services, healthcare services, technology-enabled platforms, consumer brands, and select entertainment assets.

Prior to founding GlenRock, Mr. Fannon served as Head of Private Investments at InLight Capital, a Houston-based private investment firm, where he led the sourcing, execution, and governance of majority control and significant minority investments in businesses ranging from $50 million to $500 million in enterprise value. During his tenure, he deployed and committed over $175 million of equity capital into direct private investments and served on the boards of KLOwen Orthodontics, Axis Rental Holdings, Clean Energy Services, Novos Fiber, and Prime Fiber.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Fannon spent thirteen years in investment banking at Truist Securities (formerly SunTrust Robinson Humphrey), advising founder-led and sponsor-backed companies on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions. Over the course of his banking career, he advised on and raised more than $5 billion of capital across the sports, entertainment, consumer, and technology sectors.

He has also served in nonprofit leadership roles, including as a board member of Safe Place for Youth in Los Angeles and as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Mr. Fannon holds a B.S.B.A. from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
